The focus of this photography show, is an array of processes that are not being used often or are new. The old processes date from the age of the discovery of photography. Sometimes artists use the chemicals in their own way, inventing new ways of making photographic images. The term used for these processes nowadays is ‘alternative photo processes’. The digital process will also be represented.
Photography has become widely accepted as an art form. More and more artists use photographs and the alternative processes when creating their pieces. The six artists shown in this exhibit are all using photography in their own way and often enhance their imagery with the help of alternative processes. I hope the show will make the visitor aware of the different types of photography and above all, enjoy the work of these fabulous artists.
